Summary of Mongolia

7 september 2012 - Beijing, China

Some things in  Mongolia
- It’s hard to cross the road.
- Watch your step, as you may easily fall into a manhole or just a hole in the pavement.
- People make an effort to speak English, even though they can’t.
- It was very cold!
- It is hard to get the price of a tour down, as they don’t put people together in one tour group.
- It’s the land of the blue sky!

Ulaan Baatar 30th of August till the 2nd of September
Eventually found a tin opener!
There is not a lot to do in Ulaan Baatar. We have been to the Sukhbaatar square, Namaste Indian restaurant, Gandantegchenlin monastery, Folklore dancing and we have been looking for people to join the Gobi tour.

Gobi dessert 3th till the 5th of September
At 8.40 am we went to the semi Gobi with 2 Japanese guys (Aki and Suzuki) and one weird Korean girl (Mira).
It was very cold, but very beautiful. We went horse riding, camel riding, slept in a Ger, went into nature for a pooh and a pee and got bitten by hundreds of mosquitoes.
On our second evening we met 2 Ozzies (Shaun and Tanya) and two Dutch (Germaine and Sjoerd) who we joined for a drink at the campfire.

To Beijing 6th and 7th of September
We shared a coupe with 2 Dutch. It was a clean and fancy train. We also had the best view since the start of our journey! Blue sky!
In the evening time we crossed the border to China. It took a long while. We had to hand them lots of forms and our passports. This had to be done twice. Once in Mongolia and once in China. There they also had to change the boogies. At 6.30pm we got to the border and at 12am we were allowed to get off the train for a pee. At 1 am we finally continued our way to China.
